Pat Parelli at Tipapa - Photos and video clips

I have met and witnessed a few great horsemen, but passing knowledge on to others is a completely different matter.
Often these guys are fantastic with horses but their skills teaching humans can leave a lot to be desired.
Pat is by far the most energetic, entertaining horsemanship teacher I have seen. You really get your moneys worth of information and laughs!
Usually we have American instructors who come here and Kiwis cannot relate to their sense of humour. This is not the case with Pat - he had us in stitches! Pat has no hangups with not looking cool and put his reputation on the line at Tipapa by taking on 2 horses who aparently had serious bucking problems.
Pat uses his sense of humour in serious situations. Many instructors teach clinics and never touch a horse with problems in front of a crowd, not Pat, he has such a great unflappable nature and uses his sense of humour in serious situations. I can't help but admire him. I bet anyone who critisizes this guy hasn't actually seen him live! He is great fun for all ages and disiplines.
The knowledge he has passed on to thousands of people worldwide has to be commended - it all adds up to a better deal for horses and safer horses for humans.
Pat's students were also inspiring and combined with the razzy music, gave us a great display.
I mustn't forget wife Linda Parelli's part in the big picture as a major driving force behind Pat and his teaching system and support program. This program is where the Pat Parelli name Pat students and instructors are inspiring. gets a slamming - it's the hard core marketing drive that Kiwis so despise. Typical small town Kiwi criticism ((*yawn*)) is so boring.
Linda and Pat looked like they could do with staying on in New Zealand for a few weeks for a well deserved break - maybe next time! We were very lucky to have them for the short time that we did.
The only depressing part was having to go home after playing make believe for 2 days that I owned Tipapa and.... *sigh*
